Tour program
After meeting with a guide at the airport or at the railway station in Irkutsk, you will board a minibus and leave for Olkhon Island (it takes about 5-6 hours).
At the ice crossing, a ritual of meeting with winter Baikal awaits you.
After you are accommodated and have lunch at the Baikal mini-hotel, you will go to Cape Burkhan, from where a wonderful view of the "visiting card of Baikal" opens, one of the nine Shrines of Asia - the Shamanka rock. The shaman was the most revered holy place on Lake Baikal. Cape Cape was considered the seat of Ezhin - the owner of the island.
Return to the hotel, dinner.
After breakfast, departure for a fascinating tour of Olkhon to Cape Khoboy, the most northern and most famous cape of the island. This place is shrouded in ancient legends and traditions. It is here that you can see the famous blue ice of Lake Baikal.
Along the way, you will also visit the Sagaan Khushun rock complex, which, due to its shape, is called “Three Brothers”.
Lunch is a picnic in nature.
Return to the hotel, dinner.
Today is your free day. Choose an activity for your liking: take a walk along the snowy Baikal, go ice skating or visit the Buryat village.
After breakfast, departure for a tour of the southern part of Olkhon.
You will visit the island of Ogoy, where the Buddhist Stupa of Enlightenment is installed, in which various Buddhist relics and a bronze figurine of dakini Troma Nagmo, considered to be Buddhist relics and a bronze figurine of dakini Troma Nagmo, who is considered the mother of all Buddhas in Tibetan Buddhism, are installed.
Then you will go to Cape Horgoy, where you will see an ancient Kurykan defensive wall 185 meters long. It is made of stones and, apparently, was built to protect against enemy attacks.
Return to the hotel, dinner.
After breakfast - departure to Irkutsk. The end of the tour.
